Hello everybody,
You are needed this Saturday July 31st at 8:00 a.m. at the Field House (locker room at the east end of the practice field).

The old lockers have been pulled out and we need to do the preparation work for the new ones to be installed for both the varsity and freshman rooms. Alan Beal has pre-fabbed the locker bases and they will need to be installed along with 2 X 4′s on the wall. For this project we will need:

1. PEOPLE.
2. Drills that can drill into masonary block.
3. Screw guns.

The second part of the project that needs to be done on Saturday is the cutting in on the edges of the floors with new floor paint. The cleaning of the floors will be completed by Saturday. We will be painting the ENTIRE locker room floor with the exception of the coaches and trainers rooms. This means the varsity / jv room, bathrooms, and the freshman room. For this portion of the project we will need:

1. PEOPLE (Ladies, perfect opportunity to see the locker room and work on a project that is in an air conditioned environment!) 2. Did I already mention people?

If we can get all of the edges cut in then the floor can be rolled during the week when no-one is around and will go very quickly.

We are getting close to the start of practice and need to get these two things done. Alan Beal will be leading this project.

Thank you in advance!

As always,

GO MUSTANGS!!

We are going to tackle the announcer booth floor this Thursday evening July 22, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. There is a section of the floor that needs to be replaced (approximately 4 to 8 sheets of plywood) due to it rotting. The roof was fixed last season and no longer leaks. We will be pulling out the bad plywood and replacing with new.

What is required:
1. PEOPLE
2. Hammers
3. Small crow bars for removal of nails

Alan Beal will be leading this project and will bring the necessary power tools.

PLEASE COME OUT AND LEND A HAND.

This is the first phase of this project. Once this is completed we will (at a later date) cover the floor with peel-and-stick flooring and hang four (4) ceiling fans.

Looking forward to seeing everyone,

Thanks in advance and as always,

GO MUSTANGS!

All,
I hope everyone had a great Independence Day weekend. We will be holding the July meeting at 7pm next Tuesday, July 13, 2010. The reason for the date change was because of the holiday and on Monday night the boys and coaches will be at the 7 on 7 passing league in Cocoa.

The meeting will take place in the FIELD HOUSE (locker room at end of practice field). Please come out and see the new ceilings and the plans for the new lockers and floors. The reason for the meeting to take place here is the air conditioning is off in the cafeteria, but is on in the field house.

The Coach should have an update on Freshman sports.

We will be setting dates for the remaining projects and need participation to get these done. We have a lot to do before the season starts and the weeks are running out.

Please come out and support the boys.

As always,
GO MUSTANGS!

Wait until you see the first ugrade to the Football Fieldhouse! The ceiling project started last Saturday with a crew working from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. I will estimate that over 60 – 70 percent of the new drop ceiling is installed including insulation and it looks great. Many thanks to the following (I sure hope I’m not leaving anybody out, but when I do, pleas let me know).

Boys = Matt Page, Garrett Iapicco, Garrett Carr, Tanner Chasteen, Shelton
McLean, John O’Keefe, and Joe Matlock.

Adults = Erik Webb, Bill Carr, Mr. and Mrs. Chasteen, Fred Distasio (lunch),
Paul Friel, Jeff and Jamie McLean, Alan Beal, Ray Parker (and future mustang
sons), Matt Wilson, George Sorie, ed Stanton and Josh Padrick.

But why don’t you just come out this coming Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. and help us finish this project up! Here’s what you should bring:

WE REALLY NEED A GOOD SHOW OF FOLKS:

Items Needed:

1. Stepladders yes lots of them the ceiling is 9′ high, stepladders need to be 5′ or 6′ . Bring yours and borrow your neighbors. They are the critical item to pull this project off next to player parents.
2. Long Sleeve Shirts, we will be handling insulation it will get onto your arms.
3. 25′ tape measures

Let’s get this knocked out so we can move onto the lockers and the floor painting in the near future. Players are welcome as this is for them!!!

See you there,
Steve Iapicco

Hello everyone,
I hope the boys are enjoying their time off and everyone had safe Memorial Day weekend.

Our June meeting will take place next Monday June 7, 2010 in the high school cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. We have some things going on that we need your help with, so please come out! We are working our sponsorship drive and will have a report on Monday night. We have several projects (the main one is the field house locker room upgrades) coming up and need to set times and personnel to get them accomplished before the season gets underway. Alan Beal will give us a time-line and we need commitments for support.

Coach McLean will discuss the recent decisions made by the County in reference to Freshman sports and how that will effect our boys. Please come out to support the club as we will be facing unique challenges this year and support from the parents will be needed more than ever. The Quarterback Club is here to support your children so please come out and get involved.

Thanks,
and as always,
GO MUSTANGS!

Black & Gold

by Steve Iapicco

I wanted to thank everyone that came out to the Annual Black & Gold Potluck dinner last night. Thanks to everyone that provided food and helped set-up and clean-up. I know it was a little crowded and a little warm in the room, but its for a great cause. I’m sure the boys all appreciated the food as they have been working hard. I’ll update my e-mail listing to make any changes you may have provided last night on the contact information.

Let’s finish up the week by bringing out family and friends to the Black & Gold game Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. to show the team our support.

Thanks again,
Steve Iapicco
